About

I am a self-taught illustrator with a fine art background with a passion to draw and paint
as part of my creative career that is open to opportunity. I am inspired by nostalgia and the simplicity and limitless creativity of childhood.

My background includes a BFA from the University of Toronto/Sheridan College Art & Art History program, an MFA from the University of Victoria, British Columbia and an Interior Design diploma from IAOD, Toronto. I have taught visual art classes for Children, Teens and Adults.

I founded a small business, Tiny Brushstokes in 2007 and painted custom orders and small batch creative products for kids for 10 years. This lead to the creation of an arts education subscription boxed; the Tiny Art Box which was shipped to my supportive Canadian customers for 1 year.

My artwork has transitioned from painting to illustration for children’s books and editorial. I am a motivated, life long learner and I continue to develop my work by taking Make Art That Sells courses taught by Lilla Rogers.

My dedication to connecting children with visual art fuels my artistic work. My passion for illustration motivates me to balance my artistic career with my full time day job as program coordinator for arts education at a local arts centre.
